The Drowning Pool, Iceland - Centuries ago, this was the terminus of justice. If you were a cheating woman, viking law dictated you be stunned with a blow to the head, tied up in a burlap sack, and dumped into this frigid pool of water until death.
If you were a cheating man, they simply chopped your head off with an ax. Which is the better way to go?
I’m pleased! I sold one of my decorated Cahiers tonight, and I got to reconnect with an old friend.
This is a large Moleskine Cahier, kraft cover, unlined. I covered it in a section of a 1965 National Geographic map, and on the insides I pasted pages from a Thai ghost comic book and a 1953 copy of German Through Pictures.
I really like this look. These knee-high boots (engineer, aviator, elf-ranger, &c.) came into fashion a few years ago and haven’t gone away, which makes my heart glad. And I love wool stockings/leggings.
There was a time when I would’ve bemoaned about being born too late, but girls were hot when I was young, too, and I was too shy to do anything about it then. It wouldn’t make any difference now.
